Happy Valentine's Day! I pray that you were able to spend some quality time with that "special someone" today... yourself! I have heard it said that "learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all." Prayerfully you also gave some time to the One who is the definition of love: Jesus Christ.
With all that said, tonight's post is not your typical Valentine's Day poem. It is written by a poet named Mari Evans. Google her and gain some knowledge....
Where Have You Gone
by Mari Evans
copyright 1967
Where have you gone
with your confident walk
with your crooked smile
why did you leave me
when you took your laughter
and departed
are you aware
that with you
went the sun all light
and what few stars there were?
where have you gone
with your confident walk
your crooked smile
the rent money
in one pocket
and my heart in another . . .
